This Hiking and Scramble Tour of Great Saint will take you up on the tallest of all Meteora rocks, some 400 meters above the town of Kalampaka, through an ancient winding path upon the rock of Great Saint, a huge rock complex which thousands of years ago was an integral part of the ancient fortifications of the town below.

FAQ

I am staying at an AirBNB. Where can I get picked up from?

We cannot pick up clients from AirBNBs for our tours. If you are staying in Kalampaka then you can come by our offices here to start the tour. If you are staying in Kastraki then you can meet us at our offices there.

I am staying at Trikala. Do you offer pick up from there?

Trikala is a city about 21km away from Kalampaka. Because of that, we do not offer pick up from there. You can catch the local bus to Kalampaka, which runs regularly and come by our offices here to start the tour.

How late can I make a booking?

You can make a booking with us literally last minute! Just keep in mind that there may be no seats left on the tour if you do that! We recommend booking at least one week in advance, in order to have the best chances of finding availability.

Which tours can I join on the same day?

We have split our tours tom morning and afternoon ones. Furthermore, all our tours visit different places at Meteora. This way, you can combine any morning tour with any afternoon tour you wish!

What happens if it rains?

In case of bad weather the tour will be cancelled and you will get a full refund.

Vassilios "Bill" Theodorou born in 1984 and raised here in Meteora, he is one of the finest representatives of Meteora’s younger generation of expert climbers and mountain guides. Apart everything else he is Visit Meteora's team specialist for extreme sports in Meteora. If you love the feeling of a good adrenaline rush then very probably he is the perfect guide for you! Bill has won twice the championship of sport climbing in Greece and a second place on a Balkan tournament. He is an accomplished Base Jumper, a snowboarder and a high liner. He is also a licenced paramedic and nurse. He speaks Greek and English
