Dresscode to enter the monasteries: Sleeveless clothing and shorts over the knee for men are prohibited. For ladies skirts and shawls are available at the entrance in case they don’t have such clothing to cover themselves.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1,Athens to Meteora and Sunset Tour

Catch the morning train to Kalambaka at 08:20 am from Athens 'Larissis' Railway Station. Upon your arrival in Kalambaka, at around 13:30 pm, our English speaking driver will be waiting for you at the train station holding a signboard with your name on it to transfer you to your hotel. Late afternoon the VIP mini bus will pick you up from the hotel to join our 'Meteora Sunset Tour'. Admire breathtaking views of Meteora and discover the hidden gems of this place in one of the best tours of Mainland Greece.

Day 2,Morning tour and free afternoon

For the next morning you may choose the activity you wish to do: the 'Half-Day morning Tour of Meteora' to see the main attractions, the monasteries of Meteora with a VIP minibus or the 'Hiking Tour of Meteora'. Experience amazing sceneries and visit monuments of the Byzantine period, the monasteries of Meteora. After this morning tour, at around 13:00 pm, the bus will drop you back to your hotel. The evening is free for you to explore the area on your own.

Day 3,Meteora to Delphi and Athens

Early in the morning, a taxi will pick up from the hotel to take you to the train station. At 05:32 am the train departs and arrives at Livadia station at around 09:00am. There, an English speaking taxi driver holding a signboard with your name will wait to transfer you to Delphi. Delphi is roughly an hour drive away from Livadia, so you will arrive at the archeological site at around 10:00 am where you can spend many hours exploring the ancient oracle, the museum, and the small town. At 16:00 you’ll take the bus back to Athens. It takes around 2 hours to reach the capital of Greece from Delphi.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received within 30 days of departure will incur a penalty which will be the price of train tickets.
Cancellations received within 5 days of departure will incur a penalty of 50% per person.
Cancellations received within 24 hours of departure will incur a penalty of 100% per person.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.

FAQ

Will I meet anyone at the train station in Athens or Thessaloniki?

No. On our train tours, you will board the train from Athens or Thessaloniki on your own, using the tickets we will send you via email. Our guide will meet you at Kalabaka train station after your train arrives at Meteora. He will be holding a signboard with your name written on it in the parking lot of Kalabaka train station.
